Ride to Logan Creek & Pilot Peak

Logan Creek/Pilot Peak Ride–  This out-and-back ride is rated as intermediate. Participants ride from Yellow Pine Community Hall to Warren-Profile Gap Road. A pause is planned at Red Metal Mine road for history/stories.  Participants continue to Logan Creek Road with a pause at the end for stories/history. Participants will return to Big Creek Campground for lunch (provided) and history/stories. After lunch, participants will continue the ride to Pilot Peak.  The timeframe of this event is estimated to be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

ATV-UTV Letter Tiles

ATV/UTV rally includes the area of Fitsum Creek Trailhead to the  the Johnson Creek bridge at Trapper Flat road to the Profile Creek bridge (Stibnite Road) ; including the Village of Yellow Pine and the  camp    sites within the area. This year's rally game is LETTER TILES. The timeframe of this event is from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Participants begin and end the event at the Yellow Pine Community Hall. 

Ride To Cinnabar

an ATV-UTV ride to the historic mining town of Cinnabar.  Much of the town is still intact.

Owner, Ron Oberbillig, will be on hand to talk about the town and explain the remaining structures.

Lunch will be served.  Plenty of time will be allowed for exploration.

The riders will leave Yellow Pine at 10am.  Check-in starts at 9am at the Yellow Pine Community Hall.

Ride to Big Creek

This all-day ride took folks from Yellow Pine to Big Creek.  Lunch was served at the Big Creek Lodge.  A loop ride on Smith Creek trail was included for trail-rated vehicles (50" or less width).  Larger vehicles had a side trip up to Elk Summit.  Folks learned about old cabins, early prospectors, and the surrounding area from local story teller, Scott Amos. 

ATV-UTV Photo Scavenger Hunt

Folks teamed up to locate and photograph 72 items on their scavenger hunt list.  The weather cooperated to make for a fabulous, fun day.

Ride To Roosevelt

On this ride to Roosevelt Lake Trailhead, folks learned about places along the trip, the work Midas Gold is doing in Stibnite, and great stories about the Thunder Mountain area.  It was a day for great friends, great food and great fun!

ATV-UTV Rally

The ATV-UTV rally held on May 26th was first.  This was our initial trial of hosting rallies and rides.  The interest and turn-out was amazing.  All the participants had a good time. Check out the gallery for pics of the fun!
